What ThreadRead does

ThreadRead is a Chrome extension that rewrites Twitter/X threads into clean, readable articles.

Data we collect

We collect nothing.

ThreadRead does not collect, store, log, or share:

How thread content is handled

When you click “Read Clean,” the tweet ID from the URL is sent to the ThreadRead backend. The backend fetches the thread text from a third-party API (socialdata.tools) and passes it to a language model for rewriting. The response is returned to your browser and displayed in the sidebar.

Thread content is never stored. It exists in memory only for the duration of the request and is discarded immediately after.

Third-party services

ThreadRead uses the following services to process requests:

Service Purpose Their privacy policy
socialdata.tools Fetching Twitter/X thread content socialdata.tools
Groq Language model rewriting Link

Permissions

No other permissions are requested or used.
